Keeping Dry Inevitably, while you are at Cornerstone, it will rain at some point. Sometimes it may only spit and spatter a little, while other times you may have a thunder storm for several hours. Keeping dry is easier when you have a little knowledge and a few hints and tips on your side. First of all keeping your tent, and the things inside of it dry. One of the first things to do is get a seam sealer from anywhere you can buy camping equipment and use it on the seams of your tent. The next tip is to have a tarp that is a little bigger than the footprint of the tent. Set up your tent on top of this tarp and once it is up fold the edges up to right under the edge of the tent. This will keep the rain water from coming up through the bottom. If you don't have a rainfly for your tent a tarp is a good option to put over your tent. Another tip is to zip up the windows and doors in your tents whenever you are going to be away from your campsite for a while, just incase it starts to rain while you're away. The final tip for tents is to keep the things inside of them away from the walls of the tent. This is because tents are generally not water-proof but rather water-resistant and when there is something touching the side of the tent while it's raining water will seep through the walls and get your things wet. There are many different tips to help keep your things dry. The first idea is to keep your suitcase inside a trash bag or in your car. Another tip is to keep your things in zip lock bags. These bags come in all different sizes and shapes and are great for everything from food to your wallet. This web site designed and maintained by Trice Web Design.
